DESCRIPTION OF THE PROJECT

ART ID was a professional development initiative designed for youth workers, aiming to equip them with creative tools and methodologies to foster inclusion and diversity through art. The project explored the role of artistic expression in youth work, providing participants with both theoretical insights and hands-on experience in using manual arts to create inclusive learning environments.

Developed by a youth worker and an arts teacher specializing in working with young people with special needs, ART ID was built on the belief that art can break down social and cultural barriers, enhance communication, and promote active participation.

Youth workers often struggle to engage diverse groups, especially young people with disabilities, migrants, or those at risk of exclusion, as traditional methods are not always effective. Art, as a universal language, fosters self-expression, empathy, and collaboration, making it a powerful tool for creating more inclusive youth work environments. By integrating artistic methodologies into youth work, professionals can create more inclusive spaces where all young people feel valued and empowered.

The training provided a collaborative learning environment, bringing together youth workers from various countries. Moments of sharing experiences, discussions, and joint reflections were promoted, allowing participants to expand their network of contacts and enhance their professional practice through knowledge exchange.

By the end of the training, youth workers were equipped with artistic tools and creative methodologies to foster inclusion and diversity in their daily work, making youth activities more accessible and engaging for all.

ART ID was a unique opportunity for professionals in the field to broaden their horizons, acquire new tools, and become agents of change in their communities, using creativity and artistic methodologies as key forces for development and social transformation.
