DISSEMINATION ACTIVITIES

Dissemination activities are a key part of the ART-ID training program. They ensure that the results of the project reach beyond the immediate group of participants and contribute to broader practices in youth work and the arts. Through these activities, the knowledge, tools, and creative methods developed during the program are shared with a wider audience, supporting more innovative and inclusive approaches in the field.

Objectives of Dissemination Activities

  • Awareness: Inform key stakeholders, including youth workers, cultural organizations, educators, policymakers, and community groups, about the ART-ID project and its objectives.

  • Knowledge Sharing: Share artistic tools, methodologies, and creative approaches developed during the program to enhance the skills of youth workers and educators.

  • Engagement: Involve the wider community in artistic initiatives, discussions, and exchanges that promote collaboration and the integration of art into youth work.

  • Sustainability: Support the long-term use of project outcomes by embedding them into existing cultural and educational practices, and encouraging their adoption by other organizations.

Dissemination ensures that the impact of the ART-ID training program goes beyond its direct participants. By making its creative outcomes accessible and valuable to others, the project strengthens the role of art in youth work and contributes to opportunities for young people across Europe.

Acpelia

Following their attendance in the project ART-ID: Art as Tool for Inclusion and Diversity in Youth Work, Boghos Avetikian, one of the two youth workers who attended this project attended ACPELIA's dissemination event at the Multicultural Center Pissouri.

This took place in the morning on the 5th of July 2025, where youth gather from all over Cyprus (considering the size of the country) and not only learn about projects that others took place in, but also learn new methodologies, activities and more to use in future projects locally.

As such, Boghos took the opportunity to host a workshop, titled "Identity Mapping", which took place on the 4th day of the project in the training course. With an audience of 15 youth workers, they were given a piece of paper and asked to present their identity, but crucially, are not given instruction on how exactly to present this. Participants either use a brainstorming chart, split between ethnicity and nationality, iconography and more.

The activity is intended to present how even the concept of identity, and what makes a person a person can be debated, which is a crucial activity in a project to break down social and cultural barriers. As such, after the activity, a discussion took place as to what identity even means, what defines the self, and how such an activity can be used to break down social and cultural barriers, enhance communication, and engage diverse groups—including young people with disabilities, migrant backgrounds, or those at risk of exclusion.

As part of our activities, we organized an art workshop for young people with disabilities. During the session, participants had the opportunity to express themselves through creative visual art by working together on a large sheet of bristol board, which gradually transformed into a colorful, multidimensional composition.

The children and youth used a variety of paint colors, experimenting with mixing and application techniques. They were introduced to different painting methods, which provided them with new and engaging experiences. One particularly popular technique involved pressing paint through fabrics with different textures, resulting in unique and original visual effects. Another enjoyable activity was painting using pre-made stencils, which allowed the participants to create recognizable shapes and patterns, enhancing their sense of agency and creative achievement.

The workshop was not only artistic in nature but also served as an integrative and therapeutic experience. It supported the development of fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and creativity. Moreover, it fostered positive interactions among participants and helped build their self-confidence through artistic expression.

On July 17, 2025, the Portuguese team held a workshop to disseminate the Erasmus+ mobility program "ART-ID: Art for Inclusion and Diversity," which took place from June 13 to 19, 2025, in Freamunde, Portugal.

The activity brought together about 10 young people from different countries to share the experience and skills acquired during the project and to demonstrate how it is possible to promote inclusion and diversity through art.

First, a presentation was given on all the project's activities, with the aim of providing practical examples of inclusive artistic tools and how it is possible to integrate principles of sustainability into artistic practices. The presentation also included a short moment of reflection, where the Portuguese team participants explained how they felt more empowered as youth workers and how they felt this

would be useful to them.

After the reflection, a workshop was held with the participants. The workshop consisted of creating an artistic mural linked to inclusion and diversity. Participants were asked to express themselves using the various materials provided and to convey through the mural what inclusion meant to them and how we can combat prejudice and promote acceptance of diversity. After finishing the mural, each participant showed their work and explained how their art referred to inclusion according to their unique perspective.

Finally, once the mural was finished, there was a period of reflection and debate. During this time, we talked about concepts such as inclusion, diversity, sustainability, etc.; we discussed how art can be used to promote inclusion and diversity; we reflected on the challenges of working with marginalized groups and various solutions; we shared each other's experiences and how this activity contributes to each young person as workers and youth leaders, and we also reflected on whether the activity made sense and whether they had enjoyed it. The feedback on the activity was very positive. Participants explained how useful they felt the activity had been and felt encouraged to use creative expression as a means of intercultural dialogue and inclusion.

Asociatia Pas Alternativ

Between the 13th to 19th of June 2025 in Porto, Portugal, Pas Alternativ organization participated with 2 youth workers in an Erasmus training "Art as Tool for Inclusion and Diversity in Youth Work" 2024-1-PT02-KA151-YOU-000198027 to learn art methods for social inclusion. These methods were explained to other youth workers of our organization then used in another 2 other Erasmus projects.

The importance of art methods for social inclusion lies in their ability to foster understanding, connection, and empowerment among diverse individuals and communities. Here's a breakdown of why and how art methods contribute to social inclusion.

Art provides a voice for those who are often unheard, such as refugees, people with disabilities, LGBTQ+ communities, and economically disadvantaged groups. Through various forms—painting, theater, music, storytelling—they can express their experiences, identity, and perspectives.

Art humanizes experiences. When people engage with others' artistic expressions they are more likely to: recognize shared humanity, challenge stereotypes, foster empathy across cultural, racial and social divides.

Art-based methods are powerful tools for:

  • raising awareness about social issues, educating the public in an accessible, emotionally engaging way, encouraging critical thinking around norms and power structures.
  • Creative expression through art is linked to:reduced isolation, improved mental health, creating stronger social bonds, especially among vulnerable or stigmatized groups.

Ayuntamiento de Cabra

We have decided to hold a cyanotype workshop for our young people during the 'Verano Joven' (Youth Summer) programme, which we hold every year during the summer school holidays. We invited participants through a public announcement via the usual channels (social media, digital screens in the municipality, public media, and of course word of mouth)

Around 14 young people registered in advance for the activity, which was scheduled for 11 a.m. on 11 July, 2025. The activity began with the presentation of the three people who participated in the "Professional Development Activities ART-ID Portugal" training and informing the attendees about the Erasmus+ programme. We then provided the group with all the information and made all the materials available to them. We took advantage of the facilities at the Youth Centre and accompanied them in the creative process. After an explanation, the group was invited to prime their supports and walk around the municipality to collect elements that would inspire their creations. After a while, they returned with many plant elements and lots of ideas.

During the activity, the local television station came to film a report that was later broadcast on the news. The audience was diverse in terms of interests and ages. They began to propose their different compositions, exposed them to the sun, and finally washed them and enhanced the result with hydrogen peroxide.

The results encouraged the group, who shared their work and helped each other. The evaluation was highly positive. With their projects completed, they continued to generate ideas and ask themselves questions about what would happen if they changed different steps in the creative process. At the group's request, a 'Cyanotype II' edition has been planned to take place during the Christmas holidays.

Our local TV station, Atalaya Televisión, came to do a report >here is the video<
